OKDHS Child Care Assistance

OKDHS Child Care Assistance for CAP Tulsa Before and After Care

Child care subsidy is available through the federal Child Care and Development Block Grant. It helps parents pay for licensed child care while they are at work, in training or getting an education. The subsidy is paid directly to the child care provider on the family's behalf. The family may have a copayment for the child care based on their income; and the number of family members and the number of family members needing services.

CAP Tulsa’s Before and After Care program is a great option if you need additional childcare while working or going to school. Before and After Care is a program that extends enriching learning opportunities to the time before or after our regular program hours.

Before and After Care program services are available at the following schools: Briarglen, Disney, ECDC Reed, Frost, McClure, Reed, Rosa Parks, Sand Springs, and Skelly.

Families with OKDHS Child Care Assistance/Subsidy receive priority placement in the Before and After Care program.

We encourage families to apply for OKDHS Child Care Assistance/Subsidy benefits to assist with the cost of before and after care services. Even if your family does not have a co-pay, or services are available at no cost to you, DHS may provide funding to the program to offset some of the costs incurred to operate before and after care programs. We also accept Tribal Child Care Assistance and private pay.
