Family Services Advocate

Family Services Advocates (FSA) build relationships that help families reach their full potential by supporting well-being and building upon the family's capacity and desire to promote their child's whole development through advocacy, empowerment, collaboration on goals, and referrals to community resources.

FSAs provide support to CAP Tulsa families with a child currently enrolled in Learning@Home or at a CAP Tulsa school. With the goal of providing a one-stop experience for families to receive assistance, FSAs provide free, comprehensive, individualized support and are here to help.

Family Services Advocates supports include:

  • Assistance with required health documentation and connection with health providers
  • Connection to advocacy, parenting, and community resources
  • Bilingual FSAs for Spanish, Burmese, and Zolai/Zopau interpretation and translation, or coordination with community resources for other languages when needed
  • Creation and ongoing support of Family Success Plans to understand the needs of families, to collaborate on setting goals, and to identify and connect with community resources
  • Coordination of adult behavioral health needs through the school’s Early Childhood Therapist
  • Assistance with accessing other CAP Tulsa programs like English as a Second Language, Nutrition Services, and family engagement opportunities

Whether families need assistance during a difficult time or want help meeting an everyday goal, your Family Services Advocate is here to help and is a great resource along the path toward family success and supporting your child’s whole development.

To receive assistance, contact the Family Services Advocate at your child's school or through your Parent Educator.
