Stories Your WayDecember 12, 2017
When you’re reading a favorite book with your little one, challenge them to take charge of the story and add their own ideas and actions.
Ask them what they would do during a critical point in the story. Ask them how they might feel or what they might say to one of the characters and how that could change the entire story.
This helps to start a dialogue between you and your child and allows them to think critically about the choices, actions and feelings being shared in the story.
