Learn through Building

Your child develops an understanding of engineering early by combining objects in news ways and solving the problems they encounter in their world. 

There are many ways you can encourage your child to build and solve problems at home! Offer your little one blocks or empty boxes of different sizes such as cereal boxes or shoe boxes. Talk with your toddler as they build and stack and point out the different ways the building could be stronger by building a wider base. Count all the pieces it takes to create their tower together and predict when it might fall over.
