Based on community numbers and the impact of the virus on our staff coverage, we have made the decision to extend distance learning through Friday, January 29. Families will continue to receive regular check-in calls from their child’s teacher during distance learning.

Our goal is to return to the A/B hybrid schedule on Monday, February 1 and we will continue to evaluate staffing and community data on a regular basis. We are anticipating continuing the hybrid schedule through Friday, March 12. We will advise families of our finalized plans closer to these dates.

On Friday, Jan 15th we are serving 3-days of meals from bus stops and 7-days of meals at our grab and go sites. There is no meal service 1/18 through 1/22. Families are encouraged to access food resources from our public school partners while distance learning or reach out to their Family Support Specialist. CAP Tulsa will provide food services when we return to in-person learning on February 1.


CAP Tulsa 2020-2021 School Year

Dear CAP Tulsa Families!
We are excited to announce a return to in-person services at our schools for enrolled families! Schools will re-open in two phases during November 2020 with a combination of in-person and distance learning schedules and reduced class sizes.

Currently enrolled families will receive an email from our Admissions Office with specific information on their child’s return to school schedule. Please be sure to update your contact information to receive important calls, texts, and emails.

Returning to school will look much different than it did in the previous school year, including an updated and staggered parking lot drop off and pick up procedure, physical distancing practices, and new hygiene processes. These and other important changes, due to COVID-19, can be found in the Return to School document.

We are still accepting applications and will be expanding our services to waitlisted families in early 2021.

Grab & Go Meals
Good nutrition is an important part of your child’s growth and development and essential for them to be Ready to Learn! We are happy to announce that Grab and Go meals, prepared for your children, will be available for pick up at the school where your child is enrolled, while your family is participating in distance learning.

With the return to in-person learning, children will be served breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack during their time in school. Families that may need meals when their child is not in school should go to the nearest public school during their grab and go meal distribution. Learning Together Kits
Learning Together Kits will be available for families in all languages by child age and will include books as well as materials needed to complete activities at home. You can also find more activities on the CAP Tulsa Facebook page in the weekly Teachable Tuesday posts.

When attending Ready to Learn events and meal pick up, please be sure to follow the 3Ws: Wear your mask, Watch your distance, and Wash your hands! This will keep you, your family, and CAP Tulsa staff safe as we all work together to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Distance Learning
If your family has decided to continue with distance learning only and your child will not be returning in November for in-person services, be sure to reach out to Family Support to let them know. This will ensure your child’s continued enrollment at CAP Tulsa and Family Support will notify your child’s teacher of your choice.
